MyVisit is an initiative by the Government of India (GOI) to make an easy way for the people of India in getting an appointment from the officers of Central Government, State Government and Public Sector. This online facility avoids the wastage of time as it eliminates the effort of one in visiting an office to place a request for appointment.
It is a cloud-based application software developed by National Informatic Centre (NIC) with an easy-to-use graphical interface and embedded with comprehensive
security features. As of now, one can only book an appointment with any one of the 15316 officers of the 303 departments registered in the portal. Many departments and its officers have not been registered yet.
Appointment Process:
- One needs a valid personal id for booking an appointment. Data provided while booking a first appointment is used for setting up of an account and a registration number is provided on successful signing up.
- The concerned officer will schedule the appointment based on his engagements and the applicant gets SMS and E-mail alert on approval.
- Visitor shall take a print out of E-Visitor's pass after logging in. He shall visit the officer on the scheduled date and time along with entered personal id at the time of booking an appointment.
- In the event of any change made by the concerned officer in the appointment time, visitor will get an SMS and E-mail alert.
- One can also check appointment status.
